The 3 Levers of Unshakeable Focus
Overwhelmed? Pull these.

You don’t need another productivity hack.
You don’t need another app.
You don’t even need more time.
What you need is focus that doesn’t flinch.
The problem? Most people try to outwork the noise
But focus isn’t a battle of effort. It’s a system.
This week, I’m breaking down a framework I’ve used with founders, operators, and top-tier builders to help them cut through chaos and take back control:
🔥 The 3 Levers of Unshakeable Focus
1️⃣ Eliminate
2️⃣ Protect
3️⃣ Execute
Let’s get into it. 👇
1️⃣ Eliminate → Clear the Clutter
The most productive people in the world aren’t doing more.
They’re doing less, but better.
They don’t ask:
👉 “What else can I take on?”
They ask:
👉 “What doesn’t belong here anymore?”
This is the most overlooked strategy in focus: subtraction.
📌 Cut the meetings
📌 Kill the legacy projects
📌 Say no to good things so you can say yes to great ones
🧠 Real-World Example:
Steve Jobs cut Apple’s product line down to just four core products when he returned. That move didn’t shrink Apple, it saved it.
What can you subtract this week to unlock space?
2️⃣ Protect → Guard What Matters
It’s not enough to know what matters.
You have to protect it from everything that tries to steal it.
Because distractions don’t just come from outside—they come from the inside too:
People-pleasing
FOMO
Decision fatigue
Poor boundaries
📌 Block time for deep work
📌 Say no without guilt
📌 Create rules for your availability (not just your calendar)
🧠 Real-World Example:
Cal Newport, author of Deep Work, only checks email once or twice per day. The rest of his time? Protected. Focused. Unavailable.
What’s one priority this week you’ll fiercely protect?
3️⃣ Execute → Turn Clarity into Motion
You’ve cleared space.
You’ve protected your time.
Now, move.
This is where most people stall. They wait for perfect.
But real momentum doesn’t come from thinking, it comes from doing.
✅ Identify your single most important task
✅ Time-block it into your calendar
✅ Define success before you start
📌 Make execution inevitable—not optional.
🧠 Real-World Example:
James Clear didn’t write Atomic Habits in a single inspired sprint. He wrote every Monday and Thursday for over two years. Execution wins because it compounds.
Your Weekly Focus Check-In:
Take 5 minutes and ask yourself:
1️⃣ Eliminate: What needs to go?
2️⃣ Protect: What will I block off time for this week?
3️⃣ Execute: What will I move forward, no matter what?
Unshakeable focus isn’t a talent.
It’s a system.
One you build. One you repeat. One that frees you to do your best work.
Let’s lock in,
Justin
