What compounds more than interest, and gains more than investments?

Let me paint you a picture. A story that I am confident you’ve been the main character in a time or two. You’re fed up, frustrated, tired of the status quo. So you’re going to make a chance, start a new habit, new routine, change the way you’re doing things.
Day one goes GREAT! You're full of energy, motivation, and passion behind what you're doing. It’s the sort of energy you feel in your soul. But over time, that energy fades, you have a missed day, then another, and suddenly it becomes game of if I got this far away from what I was doing, and i’m still okay, why go back.
We see this all the time, with a new gym routine, a new diet, or starting a new business. Everyone comes out the gate strong, and slowly fades away. The thing most people miss, is this is NORMAL. Everyone you look up to, every successful thing you are looking towards as what you want to become, create, or develop all has this same valley. Motivation is great, it’s the trampoline almost all of us need to get from 0 - 1. But that’s often thought of as the hardest part of starting, when in fact it’s from 1 - 2 that holds most people back.
See going from 1 - 2 is where you have to be consistent. The allure of starting from 0 is gone. You are going now, things are happening, but all the fun starting stuff is over with and you’ve hit that phase of the mundane boring day in day out work that it takes to get to the next level where things can get fun again. Let’s play this out in a common example.
The new gym routine: You don’t work out, starting is often times the hard part or so you think. You get going, now you're a gym person! You’ve conquered the fear of going to a new gym, you've gotten into some kind of program that you love. You’ve gone from 0 - 1 and you feel GREAT! But one mid week, rainy, dreary day, something happens. You missed the normal time you go, something completely outside of your control comes into play and throws you off. No problem, i’ll go later! Suddenly another life issue comes in tossing that theory out the window. No problem i’ll just go tomorrow! Well we all can probably finish this story on our own, you don’t go tomorrow, and you fall off the new routine that was once so exciting.
See in that story, we can change the gym to a diet, a new project, or anything of the sorts. It’s all the same, if you allow motivation to be the driving factor, falling off becomes, well, almost unavoidable.
Fall in love with the process, fall in love with being consistent. By doing this, the end goal you ultimately feel is so far away will become closer than you ever once thought.
Anyone on the Internet who says they make millions of dollars per year only working ~2 hours per day is lying to you. They're selling you on a dream that doesn't exist. Stop making yourself feel bad for not living up to this false reality.

SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!
Nicolas is a beast of a writer, and absolutely worth a follow. But this tweet (X?) brings up a valid point I think more people need to understand. People selling the idea that they work 2 hours a week making millions are doing just that, SELLING. I can almost bet anytime you go to one of these pages, they will quickly try to sell you a course or program on how they did it, and you can too.
The internet is a tricky place today for aspiring entrepreneurs. It offers a lot of promise, with a lot of fakes hiding in the weeds. My best advice? Find people giving away their tips and tricks for free. The thing I’ve learned is most people won’t ever act on the advice they get. Most successful people know this, that’s why they are willing to just give away their advice for free. You want to take it and run with it? Awesome, then DO IT!
Don’t fall for the trap doors you see all over the internet today. Take the free advice, execute on it well, be consistent, and I promise you, you will win.
This is the part of the newsletter where I shamelessly ask you to tell your friends to subscribe! This is my way of giving away anything and everything I have for free. The only thing I ask in return isn’t a monthly fee, it’s just if you can tell one person about it, and share the news! It really does help!
